Less than a week old--already a "hutball" fan!
Well, our (most likely) last baby is FIVE! Happy Birthday to Mr. Man. We love you and have birthday donuts waiting for you once you wake up, sleepy-head.
Since he's turning FIVE today, I want to remember FIVE things I love (there are many more, of course!) about our special little guy.
1. He is very focused once he gets an idea in his head...for instance, he figured out what he wanted for his birthday ( a real "hut-ball" uniform...Hut ball (like hut, hut then throw the football--that's what he still calls football, isn't that cute? Sniff, sniff) on Tuesday and has talked non-stop about it for the last 48 hours! "Mommy, I am going to be a real hutball player and you and Daddy and my brother will watch me play, right?" Right, Mr. Man!
2. He loves our newest addition to the family, Big Daddy, a Balinese kitty cat we rescued. That is a story in itself, but suffice it to say that AJ laid claim to this big fluffy cat and loves on him all day long. :)
3. He hates to wear jeans. Won't wear them. Will only wear khakis to church, otherwise it's knit or exercise pants for this guy. Comfort is king!
4. He says his night prayers so sweetly and has taken to adding random people in as he sees fit (a very good thing, I tell him!). Last night, he prayed for another Joseph, a friend of his big brother's, who happened to be spending the night (impromptu in the middle of the week--but hey, that's one of the glories of homeschooling!).
5. He LOVES his big brother and Daddy so much, it makes me cry. Speaking of crying, he is also a sensitive soul who loves deeply and well. He hates it when he hurts someone or makes a mistake--he gets very upset. The Lord has blessed him with a generous and kind soul.
I love you, my little guy, don't grow up too fast...I almost can't fit you on my lap to cuddle anymore...and after all, you are still my baby, right? :)
St. Anthony, intercede for him.
St. Joseph, pray for him!
Amen.
Roasting marshmallow this past Sunday!
