I have been feeling the need to freshen up the house a bit. My front hall was depressing me with its dark taupe color...So, I headed to Home Depot and got some paint...I tried a rose color but it ended up looking too salmon-y...So, back I went and got this gold/yellow color called Pollen Grains.... So here is before:
I am still working on a few more decorative touches and hope to add some more gold/yellow tones to the family room and living room area to draw the three rooms together a bit and "spring-ify" the house. At least the front hall is very cheery now and boy, do I need cheery! :)
Oh, I love a pretty yellow to cheer up both a room and a person! That is a very pretty yellow! Hope you are feeling cheerier!

What a difference that made! I really like it a lot. And the table is perfect for the space.

I love the new color! This past winter I was very tired of my "western beige" walls. Even the name is blah. They are now a no-name mixture, almost weak coffee with lots of cream. And my stairwell is barn red. I love how easy and cheap painting is, and how it makes us feel better!

I love the colour too. We are going to do our family room soon. Maybe I will suggest to Steve that yellow is a good colour to get.

Very pretty! One day we'll own a house again and get to color the walls something other than white! Another great touch are the flowers you have on the table. We have two flowering bushes outside, and I have been instantly lifted by seeing bright pinks and reds peppered around the house. It's the little things that makes a house a home!
Hope you are having a very blessed and "cheery" spring! Miss you!
