Lots to do and not enough time left to do it. Can it already be August 11? ARGH!!!!
I have been trying to finish up Meg's high school transcript detailing her freshman year. But I have been having problems finding a way to calculate her GPA. My excel-savvy husband took over and created a new spreadsheet that automatically computes GPA as well as recording all vital information! If you are in need, email me, and I'd be happy to share it. He spent a lot of time on it and I think it's awesome! :)
Many of my fellow homeschooling friends have already started school as it is scorching hot here in North Texas right now. Might as well stay indoors and get a head start on school...I wish I were a bit more organized, I wouldn't mind starting myself, but Bill's travel has been extensive lately and I am just not as productive when he is gone. I get a lot of my school planning done in the evenings and that isn't going as smoothly when I am flying solo. :)
But, we are still enjoying the summer with Irish dance workshops this week (even though Grace is auditing hers as she hurt her foot this week-end and is in a boot for two weeks), time spent at our neighborhood pool, and impromptu trips for ice cream cones. :)
I'm looking forward to a good school year. Everyone is getting older and I don't have a baby to tend to (though don't tell Joseph, he still thinks he is my baby!), so I am hoping to be able to really dig in and have some fun this year with history and literature studies and lots of warm, cozy read-alouds! :)
Here's to enjoying the rest of August, getting some good planning finished up and starting fresh after Labor Day! :)
My tanned and happy five year old in her favorite "lemonade" dress that all three of her big sisters wore(and loved) as well. It's an old Lands' End dress that is 10 years old this year! :)
