Here is a repost of a saint near and dear to my heart.  Grace chose her as her special patron when she was confirmed a few years ago as well.  Saint Gianna, pray for us!

 

Irish Dance Mother/Daughter Trip

Grace and I are heading to Washington DC for the Southern Regional Irish Dance Championships (Oireachtas).  It will just be the two of us as Joseph turns four next month and will do just fine with Bill and the rest of his siblings looking after him (sniff sniff).  We are staying in Maryland across the Potomac from Alexandria at a really cool hotel--very rare for us to stay at a hotel that isn't a Hampton Inn.  ;)

Prayers appreciated for safe travel (no body scan or pat down, please!!!) and a fun, relaxing time with our Irish dance family!

Oh Happy Day!

Today is Grace's 13th birthday.  It is hard to believe it has been thirteen years since she surprised us by arriving four weeks early!  :)

Her name is quite appropriate as she is becoming (with God's grace) a lovely young lady who loves her family, friends and most of all her faith!

We love you, dear one!  Happy Birthday!

 

Jumping Jehosophat!!

Our parish had its annual spring festival last week-end and Grace waited in line for over an hour in the Texas heat to try bungee jumping for the first time. Of course, she did it in a dress! But modestly, I must say! :)

OH, and she said it was worth the bit of sunburn she had the next day! ;)
