This year we are revisiting a family favorite for world history studies. The kids have really enjoyed gathering around me as I read aloud from Hillyer's wonderful history. So, when I noticed that Ana Braga-Henebry had reviewed a new audiobook on her blog a few weeks ago, I could not resist ordering it. It wasn't pricey but quite reasonable (16.98 including shipping!). Mine just came today direct from Blackstone. We are going to listen to it in the afternoons when baby Joseph naps. I can't wait. One of these days I am going to list all the wonderful history books that we still have to read! It's really embarrassing--I have a compulsion to purchase any history book--all I need is a glowing recommendation and before I know it, I've clicked and ordered and it miraculously shows up on my doorstep. :S But Gombrich's little history has just been translated from the German and now that it is on audiotape--it should be easy--just pop it in the CD player and have at it! I'll let you know how it goes.
