Last night, our oldest daughter, Meg's drama class had their year-end performance of the play, Yearbook. I, unfortunately, saw only a few vignettes, as I was out in the halls chasing little Joseph. He shrieked like a banshee refused to be quiet and we had to make a hasty exit about 1/4 of the way through the play. I was too fearful to return. ;)
This is Meg's second year of drama instruction. Her class meets at a local homeschool co-op each Friday for three hours. She has really bloomed under the instruction of her teacher, Mrs. S., who truly enjoys sharing her love of theatre and drama with middle school and high school-aged kids. It is a calling, that's for sure. :)
Here are a few pictures of the evening:
The complete cast right before the start of the show. Meg is far right.
Meg (far right) with some of her cast members after the show....
Meg and her friend and castmate, Clare...Clare is also an avid knitter like Meg! :)
Meg with her teacher, Mrs. S.
Two of Meg's friends who live close to us were able to tag a ride to the show.
We all enjoyed ourselves and the evening ended at a local ice cream parlor with an order of 10 ice cream cones for all the kids (with the exception of little Joseph who finally crashed and burned the moment we tucked him in his car seat.).
