Let the Little Ones Come

Wisdom of a four year old

Paul: Mommy what are we doing tomorrow?

Mommy: Well....

Daddy: We're going to Mass and then mommy and daddy are going out for their anniversary.

Marie: I'm almost four, can I go?

Daddy and mommy laugh. And Marie looks confused.

Five of THEIR favorite things...

I was sitting down enjoying a breakfast egg with Marie (almost 3!) this morning asking her a few questions about her interests. It is always so much fun to discover new and interesting things about your little ones--always surprising and funny, too!

Our conversation went along these lines:

Me: Hey there Marie, what's your favorite animal?

Marie: A ner-maid (mermaid)

Me: Favorite color?

Marie: Poorpul (purple)

Me: Nice choice, purple was my favorite color when I was little, too! How about your favorite food?

Marie: Pep'mint Paddies (only York!)

Me: What about your favorite flower?

Marie: Poorpul--I think she means purple pansies--she loves little violas...

Me: And your favorite drink? Wadder (H20)...

Then the mommy in me couldn't take that cute exchange--I grabbed a piece of paper, scribbled down Marie's cutie-pie answers and seized the moment to quiz all the kids--results posted below! :)
