Favorite devotion or prayer to Jesus?
I love the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
2. Favorite Marian devotion or prayer?
The Rosary--we pray it as a family every night--though some nights it's a lot like this.
3. Do you wear a scapular or medal?
I really, really try to always wear a miraculous medal but I am terrible with jewelry of any sort and in the last few years, I must have lost five or six medals. :(
4. Do you have holy water in your home?
Yes, we used to have a font near the front door but the toddler got a bit overzealous with blessing herself and broke it...we still use it but don't have it in a font...
5. Do you offer up your sufferings?
Yes, daily...it's really the only way I can manage some days...
6. Do you observe First Fridays and First Saturdays?
No, much to my sadness...we have tried over the years...I hope to be able to do this someday!
7. Do you go to Eucharistic Adoration? How frequently?
Our parish church is only five minutes away so there is no excuse for me. I need to stop and make a visit more frequently, when I do, I always reap the benefits of some time alone with our Lord.
8. Are you a Saturday evening Mass person or Sunday morning Mass person?
Sunday morning.
9. Do you say prayers at mealtime?
Yes!
10. Favorite Saint(s)?
St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Dymphna, St. Monica and I'm very devoted to Madonna House's Servant of God, Catherine Doherty.
11. Can you recite the Apostles Creed by heart?
Yes
12. Do you usually say short prayers (aspirations) during the course of the day?
A very kind priest once told me to never forget that God is always with me and to pray to him constantly throughout the day..I do this and it is such a blessing to know that I am never alone in my troubles!
13. Where is your favorite place to pray?
I cherish my little prayer corner on the sofa in the early quiet of the morning. I also love our parish chapel. It is so cool and peaceful.
14. Bonus Question: When you pass by a automobile accident or other serious mishap, do you say a quick prayer for the folks involved?
Yes...and if I don't hear the siren, the children remind me and we say a Hail Mary.
