Welcome to my little place on the web. I have been tossing the idea of starting my own blog for a while--nothing like doing something like this 2 months before baby #7 is due, right? ;)
I chose the name of my blog--"Let the Little Ones Come" because it encapsulates my love of children, openess to life, and my spiritual goal of always striving to be "little" like my children. My husband and I learn so much from our children, the ones here and the ones that are already with God. They are our path to heaven.
Jesus said in Matthew 19:14:
"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."
In the Navarre Bible commentary on Matthew's gospel, it says, "Receiving a child in Jesus' name is the same as receiving Jesus himself. Because children reflect the innocence, purity, simplicity and tenderness of our Lord."
St. Josemaria Escriva writes: "In children and in the sick a soul in love sees him." The Way 419
And finally, one of my favorite scripture passages:
"Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 'Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.'" Matthew 18:3
